The ICRC established the office at the Zaatari camp in September last year, aiming to restore refugees' links with their relatives across the globe, according to ICRC Jordan Spokesperson Hala Shamlawi.
"The ICRC provides refugees with the opportunity to contact their family members, either over the phone or through letters," she told The Jordan Times in an interview.
"This is a brilliant idea. It is a top priority for me to contact my relatives and check up on them," said Mutawia, who calls members of his family in Syria and Libya.
