“The international community must own up to its responsibility towards Lebanon, given that the latter has become the first hosting country,” the National News Agency quoted Miqati as saying during a meeting with ambassadors and representatives of donor states and international organizations.
Miqati also pointed out the numerous repercussions of the increasing number of refugees on Lebanon, notably the “decrease of the GDP and the size of investments along with a decline in tourism and consumption,” among others.
