Interior Minister Hussein Majali on Wednesday said the Syrian crisis has had a profound impact on Jordan’s infrastructure and services, with the non-stop influx of refugees depleting the Kingdom’s already limited resources.
During an official visit to France, Majali briefed French Interior Minister Manuel Valls and commanders of French security bodies on Jordan’s handling of the Syrian crisis, saying that the Kingdom needs more international assistance to help address the refugee spillover.
For his part, Valls stressed his country’s support to Jordan’s humanitarian role in hosting Syrian refugees.
