[EN] The APDHA's latest report comes back to the peculiar situation of the two Spanish enclaves, Ceuta and Melilla, located on the southern shores of the Mediterranean. Based on its field expertise, the organisation provides an extensive and detailed overview of the plight of migrants and refugees blocked at the Spanish-Moroccan border: building of detention centres, the institutional reponse to the arrival of Sub-Saharan Africans on their way to Europe, the tragic events of 2005. The chronology of the events reached an alarm peak over the past few months as the report denounces the increasing violence and xenophobia against migrants and refugees by the Spanish and the Moroccan authorities (push-backs, building of a fence etc.).

[FR] Le dernier rapport de
l'APDHA revient sur la situation particulière des enclaves espagnoles de Ceuta
et Melilla, située sur la rive sud de la Méditerranée. A l’appui de son
expertise de terrain, l’association offre une perspective détaillée et
approfondie sur le sort des migrants et des refugies bloques a la frontière
hispano-marocaine : construction de centres d’enfermement, réponse des
institutions à l’arrivée de ressortissants d’Afrique sub-saharienne en route
vers l’Europe, les événements tragiques de 2005. La chronologie des événements
a abouti ces derniers mois a des sommets de violence et de xénophobie de la
part des autorités espagnoles et marocaines contre les migrants et les
refugies, phénomène que dénonce le rapport (« push-backs », construction d’une barrière de barbelés).
