Chargé d'affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in Jakarta Joanna Azzi informed Caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour that the bodies of the Lebanese asylum-seekers who drowned near the Indonesian coast will arrive in Beirut on Thursday, the National News Agency reported.
Up to 120 people, mostly from the Middle East, were on board the ill-fated boat that sank on September 27. Twenty-eight bodies, many of them women and children, were recovered but 22 remain missing and are presumed drowned.
