Report is aimed at introducing the detailed analysis of some specific aspects
concerning migrants, such as entry procedures, stay requirements, integration
possibilities and return cases. We have also paid a special attention to the
conditions of access to the labor market, for which the migrant workers
represent an important resource.
In the conclusions, we have tried to outline a
complex framework of the experiences of the juridical interventions of the
latest twenty years as well as the resulting lessons to be learnt, considering
the complexity of the specific Italian context. The methodology used is both
socio-statistical and juridical. We tried, in fact, to analyze the current
policy measures on migration and, when necessary, evaluate their implementation
by examining the available data.
