The EU and Morocco are holding talks on a visa facilitation agreement for Moroccans wishing to visit Europe, as well as a future readmission agreement, on 19 and 20 January in Brussels
The EU and Morocco signed a Mobility Partnership in 2013 aiming to strengthen cooperation in the area of migration and management of migration flows according to a global, balanced, pragmatic and operational approach. This Partnership covers migration questions, mobility facilitation for Moroccan nationals, improving the recognition of professional qualifications and cooperation between employment services, support for the Moroccan diaspora in Europe wishing to invest in Morocco, as well as cooperation in the field of trafficking in human beings and asylum.
In the next few months, a report on the implementation of the Partnership will be presented in Rabat. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
