12.12.2012. ''Immigration into Italy has
returned to pre-Arab Spring levels, and there are no signals for now that this
trend will reverse itself. The Syrian situation does not affect our country,''
CENSIS Deputy Director Carla Collicelli told ANSAmed on Wednesday.
In the first nine months of 2011, illegal
migration to the EU rose 50% - from 76,500 to 113,000 people - over the same
period last year, Collicelli explained, commenting the latest report by Italian
socio-economic research institute CENSIS, titled ''The Mediterranean and
Migratory Pressure on Europe.''
