Amnesty International is extremely worried about recent developments with regard to the treatment of asylum seekers and migrants on the Italian island of Lampedusa. According to the most recent reports, over 1400 migrants and asylum seekers are at this moment trapped on the island and are lacking the most basic reception conditions.
